Getting Somewhere! Psalm 119:9-16

I am getting somewhere with my course on psalm 119 and the tarot. I succeeded in making a second spread about the second stanza, the verses 9-16 (on on the Beth and the High Priestess) more open, interesting to do and inviting. Such a relief.

What a lovely reading. I may do the same one for myself a little later.

I really appreciate your choice of the Daughter or Page of Cups to balance out the Five. Such a cheerful and optimistic use of water, so receptive and heart centered. Lovely!

I don't see why you couldn't bring up your experience in teaching using the Rider-Waite-Smith. The Motherpeace keeps a certain feeling of the RWS standard, but with obviously very different images. There could be some crossover if you needed it for an example.

There is a crossover. Indeed there is. And I could show the RWS-version alongside it (although I did relate the Motherpeace five of cups card more to the three of Swords in the RWS, with the rain).

If I must use an example, and probably I do, it will be this Five of Cups card, because it is not 'positive'.

I always say, when discussing some of the more difficult and challenging cards, "This card is useful because...". It takes a little of the fear of getting a "bad" card out of the reading, especially for beginners. Sometimes I say, "Maybe not the card you wished for, but here's what you can do with it...". That usually makes people laugh.
