Hmm... very interesting. I especially liked these lines: "They call him the Riddler. He leaves riddles.

Go figure."

I was laughing about that for a while. xD

Crane and the Riddler are my all-time favorite criminals. It amuses me in the comics how Nygma ends up straying toward the lighter side of life when he finds a way to put his detecting skills to better use. Crane, well...he's a crazed psychiatrist. What more do I need?

And the Joker...well, he's blunt (at times). Just remember to hit me if I stray toward making him ooc.

I'm in. Anything Joker/Crane has me hooked. Though, I can't tell if it's a paring or not, but either way, I'll still read it. Also, good blend of comic Crane.

I'm an absolute fan of them too! I just couldn't decide whether or not this fic was going to portray them as a pairing or just two wicked sides of the same coin. There's definitely a perverseness to some of their thoughts and actions, and the Joker, I think, doesn't really have a solid orientation. Crane might...but he's not "all there" at the moment...

By the way, thanks for reviewing. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story. ;)

Does that mean half lucid sex? Because if it does, I am so in. I'm with you on the orientation thing. He seems like the kind of guy would really wouldn't really care.

Ah ha, half lucid sex, hm...the ball's started rolling for this story but I'll definitely cook up something with the two of them if I don't squeeze a pairing into this one. Like I said before, the Joker's orientation isn't exactly solid so there's no telling what he could do. One second he could be holding up a bank---the next, singing in the rain...

Superb writing. I like the unspoken interaction between the Joker and Crane. I'm always looking for stories like this one, and I've read maybe five out of fifty that didn't disappoint. This is the kind of excellence these characters deserve.

Aw, you're totally making me blush...I always want to do right by the characters and the readers and I'm glad to hear you think I'm accomplishing something of the like. Thank you so much.

And yeah...Crane just seems like an observant kind of guy, what---with being a doctor and all (unless you're talking about self-reflection, then I think he's probably playing in a whole different ball park), and the Joker's thoughts are born on an entirely different plane of the universe. He's not wrong...but he's not right either. He just calls it as he sees it.

That, and all villains are psychic.

(just joking)

Yay! Me too! Now...I just need to come up with the next chapter (which I'm currently brewing up). I know what points "A" and "B" look like, I'm just having a bit of trouble connecting the dots...*sigh*

In any case, I'm glad everyone seems to like the idea of mixing bits of the comic characters with their movie counterparts. Crane always struck me as the kind of guy that would find a little delight in utilizing the perverseness of some nursery rhymes.

By the way, thanks for the review. Toodles! ;)
