I know the feeling. I rang in the new year while trying to find just the right phrasing for a Tin Man fic (I saw it on Xmas eve and I've got plot bunnies going rabid on me...)

I swear, ever since Zach Foxx, I've had this weakness for battered up Boy Scouts.

I just watched Tin Man the other day and I so gotta say that you have just hit the nail on the head here.

That dude would make an awesome Zach! he's got the total looks for it and he's like at the right age!

Dude, I KNOW!

Lantern jaw, blue eyes with the thousand-yard stare. He talks like Mal Reynolds, but hell if it isn't Zach Foxx I'm seeing. He turns out to be left-handed, and it'll be a slam dunk. I heard later that the actor was the runner-up for the part of Mal, with Fillion just barely edging him out.

Scarier was that the guy playing Jeb could pull off Zach Foxx Jr.

Neal McDonough is the actor and he's been in tons of stuff - lots of sci-fi too from the looks of it.
