Having a house will not guarantee you don't have a bad neighbor, but you WILL have some distance between you and their intrusive bad habits, be it noxious fumes from cigarettes drifting in your windows or their stuff piled up in front of your door.
I know I'm not going to be problem free if I were to get a house, however, just having space between me and the neighbors who are piling up their crap on my front door step will be nice. :-p
If only I had the money, I'd so be buying a house, because there are a couple of houses here in town that are going for under $100k that are really cute. One of 'em I know I won't have to do anything for, because it's already been fully gutted and rehabbed since the owner's father is a general contractor. I know this, because it's across the street from Boss Lady's house. ;)
I know Boss Lady would love to have someone who's not a complete loser move in across the street from her since they've had problems with some of the rental property on her street.
What a darling house. I don't blame you. I would definitely buy it. I looked and looked in the Sacramento area and as soon as I drove by the one I bought, it sold itself.......called 'curb appeal' Inside it was all renovated too........ I wondered why someone would go to all that work and then walk away. I still miss my house........... I had dreams about it for a long time after I moved up here to Oregon. I live in a lovely townhome, but it is NOT the one in Rancho Cordova.
You go for it girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***keeps fingers crossed for you**** :-)
Well, I got a new car in August (Dad calmly wrote out a check for the whole purchase amount - no questions asked after I had finagled the dealer down to the price he wanted and I got the car I wanted. :-p) that my parents also paid the sales tax on the new car.
Then, for my b-day, I got diamond stud earrings. My parents have money and for each of us reaching that 4th decade mark, we got earrings.
Me, well, I'm hoping soon, to find a steady job that I can get clients and make some money so I can get rid of my student loan and put $$ towards a house in the next couple of years.
I want some space between me and idiotic neighbors. :-p
