Ooooo...nice project. Can't wait to see the final result. :) Fleece is a fabulous idea. You're going to need a nice warm coat. Camping season is coming up very quickly and it does get very cold at night. I froze every single night at Glory last year. I had to wear every single piece of clothing I had with me and bury myself under all my blankets in order to keep warm. lol.
I'll definately post pictures when I'm done, which is not to say you won't be able to see it in person as well. :) I'll gonna be a warm lil bunny at Outlandish! Woot!
I'm so stoked to see this when it's done. I'm wondering what the reception would be to selling them? I mean I could easily find a wholesale source for them. *ponders*
I wouldn't be adverse to selling them. We'll have to see what kind of response I get to the first one...we could sell coats, bags (like the one I made you for 12th night) and horns. And maybe blankies like the one I made Loke. And do massages/foot baths on the side...
Ok, I'll stop now ~lol~...can you tell I'm desparate for Outlandish, Glory and 20th year fundage? :)
I've been checking our sources for the fabric and so far nothing "completely" wholesale has popped up. I'm gonna hafta do some cost sheeting on them to see how much we could make them for and how much we could sell them for. Selling blankies at a coold event would prolly net you some good cash. I mean they are easy enough to make but when someone doesn't pack enough warmth...well then, you've got a captive market. Loke's being a bit anti-Outlandish (as of yesterday). The Duchess doesn't like being "that dirty" at an event and the weather patterns exacerbate that problem greatly for him. We'll see though... He did mention maybe doing Sworded Affair instead. But again...we'll see.
One can never tell with the Duchess. I don't know that I could swing Sworded. It's nearly 2 months sooner than Outlandish, and I have to have time to save up my cash...like you said though, we'll see.
We'll talk about blankies and coats next time we are together and see what ideas we can come up with.
Wow! I want one, too. ;-P (My early Celtic persona would happily wear one with you guys! So would my Tudor Welsh persona because it is comfortable, but I digress...)

Is there such a thing as "too much garb?"

To say otherwise is blasphemy I am sure.
