This piece made me cry as I was writing it. It's Kara's despair and the onslaught of a loneliness without relief.

I was worried there might be too much repetive imagery, so thanks.

Is there a continuation in the works..? anonymous September 29 2008, 04:40:50 UTC
I would love to see more of this; maybe the "House of El" interpretation of the return of Superman (Eradicator, Cyborg Superman, Steel, Superboy, etc.)?

Fear not, there will be more! And, heh, Kon plays a MAJOR role. I don't know how much detail I'll get into the actual resurrection of Superman, I don't know the canon terribly well, but there will be more!

Just, erm. My brain got eaten by another AU, so it'll be a bit. Keep an eye out.

And thanks so much for liking this enough to ask for more!

Oh, Kara's homesickness in the first paragraph is so palpable. She isn't written well enough that way often, I don't think. It's hard for us human writers to remember that "proper" food and light and cloth to her are different to us, no matter how long she's been here.

Beautiful and heartbreaking...

She was fourteen when Kyrpton died, that's a huge and important part of a person's life. Without Kal to remind her of home, Kara's more alone than ever.

Thank you.
