Leaning On part II

So this took way longer than I thought it would, but the characters weren't cooperating, and also I was writing other things.  There's going to be a lot more in this universe as soon as I write it, which as was demonstrated with this story, is catch-as-catch-can.  Also, I've decided that posting things in order is for wussies, so this AU is going ( Read more... )

Clark being able to cook is one of those things I love about canon. This Clark is much like canon!Clark in that he hates being helpless, but this way, at least Dinah gets fed (I can't imagine Dinah can cook well, either. Between Ollie and the fact that she eats out with the Birds most of the time?).

I have no attachment at all to Robin!Dick, and I was wracking my brains trying to figure out how to write him, so I appreciate the compliment! I was definitely aiming for a character who'll break your heart, considering we all KNOW the emotional drama in his future.

Eee, successful worldbuilding! Would you, erm, believe I do it in my spare time? And, um, occasionally when I *don't* have time to spare?

There will be more on this, but this Clark Kent is even more attached to his identity as a reporter than canon!Clark, and this is a man who tries to make the world a better place on a regular basis. There's no way he doesn't try to help in every way possible.

Many thanks for the review!

"Why wouldn’t he call me? Am I that bad a friend?" Dick’s horror at himself threaded through his voice and Clark couldn’t stand it.

Aw... *cries a little* Dick's whole conversation with Kal was total love, and I adored Roy's reaction to finding out Superman had been cooking him breakfasts. :D

Dick and Clark have always been close in canon, and with Clark involved with what happened to Roy he would pay even more attention to Dick.

Roy, like most of that generation, holds Superman in a little bit of awe that I couldn't resist having Dinah make fun of him for.
