DC fanfic, Babs/Booster/Ted

Erm, righto, shananagin  has proposed a " Write the Pairing You Never Got Around to Writing!" challenge, and I immediately thought of this bunch of miscreants.  'Cause I think they'd be AWESOME together and I've only ever seen it done once, and that was by implication rather than main-character-ness.  SO.

One of the things I love about these three is that they're so different, and that's what makes them compatible. At first blush, it almost seems like they'd, I dunno, share Ted, but really I think Booster would be good for Babs, and the other way 'round, too.

Skeets is wailing because that is what Skeets does. He's like C3P-O that way. *grins*

I agree, but I also think that if she wanted it badly enough, an excuse would have been made. Experimental treatment or the Wayne Foundation or SOMETHING. Jim IS the Commissioner of Gotham and Bruce Wayne IS known for his charitable works, so its plausibility would pass muster with the general public. So in my head, it has to be a choice Babs made offpanel somewhere along the way.

I know! I love the threesomeness of them, but there doesn't seem to be any extant fic (save for yours). Great fun was had writing this.

Oh, the image of Booster playing with her chair is wonderful and so...complicated--you totally made me feel the rush of indignation and then the slow-dawning realization of the respect and affection that underlay his actions. I really love the way you write this trio.

On the surface it seems like they'd be tied together by Ted, but I think Booster and Babs have things to offer each other as well.
