Running the fanfic track at Nine Worlds 2013 was the hardest, most satisfying work I've ever done. When I wrote an impassioned email to Ludi back at the start of this year, begging to be allowed to run the stream, I had no idea what I was taking on. I haven't done much but work and con this year. But it was worth every late night, every slippery

So many thanks to you, and all the others. Nine Worlds was the first con I'd ever even really considered attending, because of the wide range of tracks and the obvious commitment to inclusivity, and it was everything I hoped it would be, and much, much more.

Thank you for all the work you put into the track and the con. I've been to cons that are single fandom and focused on the guests and they're a lot of fun but I love love love what this con was and what was done with it and I can only imagine the sheer amount of work put into it. I saw that clearly as both a panellist and a run of the mill con goer.

Nothing is perfect, for sure, and the best anybody can do is learn from any mistakes. But I think those were vastly overwhelmed by all the stuff done well.

I really enjoyed all of the fanfic track! I think you did a fantastic job - despite the issue with the Problematic Issues panel. That you've acknowledged what happened and have learnt from it is really important though, so many people would become defensive and refuse to reflect on what happened and improve, so it's very heartening to see you're doing the opposite of that.

Otherwise, thank you so much for running that track, you did a wonderful job! I don't think I'd have had half as much fun at Nine Worlds without the fanfic track and your hard work! ♥

This is such a lovely message, thank you. I'd been feeling a bit down; it's great to hear that you enjoyed the track despite the bits that went wrong. Next year will be even better.
