I agree with your statement and that was a good article. I especially liked:

In addition to being embarrassed, I am getting more and more angry at the Democrats in Congress. They keep letting the Republicans destroy bills that they will never vote for. The most amazing example is the Stimulus Bill. The Republicans successfully convinced the Democrats to remove all but token infrastructure and state aid spending. Now the Republicans point to the very bill they destroyed and say "see, it is not working very well". The truth is that the tiny bit of infrastructure and state aid spending has worked *very* well.
