Every year we go to a cabin on Lake Superior in the U.P. It is incredibly relaxing and beautiful and O!M!G! cheap. $25/night per person. We always get the 4 bedroom cabin...BUT...I've been thinking it might be fun to fill the place up a bit more and take over some of the other cabin's with people we know. We could all have our own space in separate

That sounds like so much fun! Our Labor Day weekend is usually spoken for well in advance; it would be a question for the raccoon. But nights at a cabin with a campfire sound awesome.

And if you really want to make it interesting, there is the possibility of Toby's parents cabin up near Iron Mountain. Two bedrooms. 60 acres. Lake. Also, it's free.

Where on Lake Superior? We usually go up to Marquette in June or July, but it varies some from year to year...

Off of M-28 by AuTrain, at this place. I don't miss Marquette at all, but I miss Lake Superior something fierce. I feel completely at home and at peace when I am in that water.
