Today I read three books of poetry. Somehow, I feel mainlining that many in one day defies my professor's purposes in assigning them, but whatever.  Anyhow, when I return to college, I will be taking History of Mathematics (3 books plus a textbook), Poetry Workshop (10), and an independent study on C.S. 1. I finished my story for girlsavesboyfic.  It's currently in beta with light_frost.  I was worried I wouldn't have time to write it, but I managed to get the whole first draft down in one sitting.

2. I found Never Let Me Go in the university interlibrary loan catalog, so I get a second chance at it after all.  For free!

So I never read the Harry Potter books as a kid, but my college's library has them.  I checked out the first book.  Tell me why I'll love it, hate it, etc.!

...especially if they are library books.  So after all that about The Time Traveler's Wife, I thought I might give it another try, and then I forgot entirely and picked up Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro.  I really, really want to like it.  It's a very low-key novel with science fiction themes.  It's supposed to be atmospheric, page-turning, etc ( Read more... )

I've not even read the Harry Potter books, so I must have been really bored to go through all these questions.  The quiz results say that Luna Lovegood is a famous Ravenclaw, and from what little I know of her, this pleases me.
