Hello, new friends from the friending meme! And the one before that! And the one before that....I apologize for not having an intro post or anything of that nature. I am always thinking I should make one, and yet, it never seems to happen.

Silver Nemesis is rubbish D: It is the only Seven story that I don't want to own on DVD D:

My mom kept wandering in and asking me why I was watching it. She watched it for a second and was like, "This is really hokey." I had to explain to her that Doctor Who is indeed a very silly show, but an endearingly silly one. :P

Oh, Netflix definitely has some of the other Seventh Doctor episodes. Oddly, the two you mentioned look to be the only two they don't have. :P

I really liked "Remembrance of the Daleks," which Netflix does have, but which I actually got from the library.

I'm definitely doing rarewomen! I did it last year and it was really great (though, funnily enough, ended up with me writing my most widely popular fic, which probably says a lot about the fandoms/characters I usually write).

Ooh, what did you write? And what characters are you thinking of nominating this year?

I wrote Sif/Darcy last year, and was surprised how popular it was even as a rare pairing, but then, I almost never write in huge fandoms. I was brainstorming some character ideas yesterday, and I'm still not 100% sure who I'll be nominating - it'll depend on who other people nominate, as well - but definitely some comics ladies (Steph should just make it in this year, and Rose definitely will).

Yeah, it looks like Steph will squeak by, and the mods told me Babs is probably good because the AO3 tags count all the different versions of her. And I was thinking about Cass, or maybe Talia, or Beryl Hutchinson (Squire). And then I had some Doctor Who ladies I was thinking about. I am confused about whether you have to request women from different fandoms once nominations are over, or if you can request from the same fandom? Because that would affect whom I'd nominate.

P.S. Did you see the New 52 Babs + Cass fic from last year? I was poking around in the collection and I found it and IT WAS AMAZING.

Haha, there are probably some books you haven't read hiding in there, too!

Ooh, what comics do you like to read?

Silver Nemesis isn't terribly good. I have quite a fondness for it, because it was my first full DW serial and I fell in love with the show and Seven and Ace. It's sunny and fun, and while it's easily the worst of S25, I don't see quite why everyone hates it that much compared to other things which are a lot less sunny and fun and don't have Seven and Ace, but there you go... Heh.

Oh, and, in response to something above about eps Netflix has - I think the three last Seventh Doctor stories to be released were Dragonfire, Happiness Patrol and Greatest Show. So if they've got everything but them, maybe there is a period between release and them being available that way? They might turn up yet.

It did have its charms, even though I didn't care for it terribly much on the whole. The bit where he asks Ace if she has been making Nitro-9 after he told her not to and she's like, "No, I'm a good girl, I do as I'm told," and he's like, "Excellent, blow up that vehicle." was pretty funny. Also, jamming the Cybermen's transmissions with jazz tapes.

Netflix didn't have Dragonfire for a while, but they do now. They're still missing the other two. That would explain why, though!
