No idea about the language thing. Interesting though. Other places, speaking their language fluently or not would be considered a good thing.. shows you've put the effort in to learn before going there, that sort of thing....
umm Germans aren't Danish so I really don't know how she makes her experience about Germans being impatient and ripping foreigners apart. Cause we certainly don't. Or at least no one I know is. I'm sure there are some, but they are in every country I'm sure.

I'd be very surprised if that was true in Germany or Denmark. I have never had anything but admiration and confusion from Germans, about why I speak German!
haha oh yeah, I get the confusion. And admiration. German is one hell of a tough language to learn and I tip my hat to you and anyone else (my girlfriend too) who learns it. Honestly, learning English as a German is so much easier than the other way around
I will be in Kaiserlautern, Frankfurt, Garmisch, and Munchen. My sister is stationed there now and my father lived in Berlin before I was born, so I have always wanted to go.
