I didn't realize that there could be knitting nerds... ;)

And when did knitting get to be all the rage? Seriously, I know like 4 or 5 gamer nerd girls who are all into knitting in the last couple years. It's... wierd. Stuff my grandmother and great grandmother did.

Not that I really mind. I could use a new comfy blanket ;)

In regards to knitting nerds... I follow in 36 LJ knitting communities (and I know there are more out there). Of those, there's one just for knitting Firefly related/inspired things - specifically the Jayne hat, and two just for Harry Potter related/inspired knitting. So yeah, totally possible to be a knitting nerd, and I'm only dipping my toes in at the moment

I can knit, though not very well. And while I would love to discuss the fiber arts in more detail, a more pressing matter has entered my attention.
