Yay: first exam will finally get underway in just 2.5 hours

Boo: exam will last 3 hours X(

Yay: feeling happy about study though this can be a Bad Sign ...Boo: can't do last-minute study because construction underway at our place WHY TODAY FROM 8:45 GAH ( Read more... )

Thanks, hon, it did! A bit too well, actually ... everyone cleaned up and left after just an hour, hour and a half ;)

We have 'marks ratio quotas' which dictate that only 20% of any class can get scores higher than a credit, even if the entire class gets -exactly- the same score. Our lecturers get to subjectively choose who 'wins'. ;)

Insane, obscene, dishonest, grant-grubbing from the government, hiding the massive deficiencies in the University of Tasmania's Arts program ... take your pick. ;P

Everyone calls Arts the 'Please Take One' degree (ie. like the free pamphlets people pass out ;P), which is sad, because it could easily be so much more.
