Much Ado About Nothing, As Usual

Love this meme. I had to post it. Originally just one question in another interminable character quiz, but I've nabbed it and done it for a whole bunch of characters instead. ;D

There's a fairly decent quote archive here and also the full, searchable plays here if you don't have any particular quote in mind and want to find one (and, presumably, ( Read more... )

Wonderful choices!

...though Simbelyne's quote has got me jittery...

Fortunately I don't have half a day to happily reacquaint myself with Shakespeare to get sucked into this time-sink! ;)

*cackles* Oh, with Simbelyne I was just looking for a quote about being young and smart, and that seemed best. Don't you trust me? O;)

*tapdances in the time sink*

*can't help it, glomps Caius*

Sorry...

Thankfully, I'm not willing to spend so much time looking for quotes. ^-~ Still, they're a marvellous bunch to read. ^-^

Lawks! Where would I even begin?

*chuckles* Lovely choices though. Particularly like Cochalyon's and Jeren's. Fitting, and slightly sad too. Poor Cochalyon, he's been shucked off in favour of the more lucid nutter. I still love him though. But now I have random Shakespeare tripping through my head.

Only three I can come up with off the top of my head:

Nao and Drae
We are such stuff
As dreams are made on and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
The Tempest

Padraig
So young, and so untender?
So young, my lord, and true.
King Lear

Shaiel
And, when he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.
Romeo and Juliet

Those probably aren't all right, but I'm too tired to go look them up. I know I have a Hamlet quote for Blitz somewhere, and no doubt Nawaquí is best suited to that good old Macbeth To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow soliloquy, especially symbolising nothing aspect. Not to ( ... )

*cackles* I thought Nawa would be Othello's "green-eyed monster"! ;D

And yes, Cochalyon's been having a lovely time in the background there, poor lad. I haven't shucked him off quite yet ... wouldn't dare, frankly ;P

Aw, Shaiel's is absolutely perfect, isn't it? (And I bet Nawa loves it.) Ahh, lovely. :D *sniffles sub voce at A Certain Other*

I like Jeren's too, though I think Lorannon's and Morgant's are my favourites. I already had 'love all, trust a few' without going looking (though I was tempted to change when I found something about not being wary of one's own wit until one bangs one's shins upon it) ...

Quotey quotey quotes, I love 'em *dances* ;D

The power of high school English is an all-pervading evil. It can take virtually any work and kill it dead, I think. (I'm glad Lord of the Rings was phased out before my time, or I'd probably even hate that today!)

I can't read Romeo and Juliet even now (some of that due to Mr. ARGH GET HIM AWAY FROM ME DiCaprio), and only in the last few years have I realised how much I used to adore Macbeth before They got to it. I hope the years are similarly kind to you, petal, because it's a terrible crime what they do to that poor old playwright :P
