Ah, autumn ... at least now the weather can stop depressing me ;D
Much reading have I done and much time have I wasted today. Dolls cropped up again somehow. Wish I hadn't looked in my bookmarks folder this afternoon. :P Oh, and this morning I had three hours to wait for a class, and suddenly I wrote a Thing.

Ascalain the Sea Fae )

Love the dolls and especially the Cochalyon avatar ^_^ Though he looks either comatosed or seriously miffed off with those eyes. You're making me more and more curious about him, I hope you know. It's that hint of madness that's doing it. Well, more than a hint.
And more fabulous Fae history! You're just going to have to write more about the Iron Hold and build your history around that, you know ;)
Interesting little snippet there, great to know that not all the Fae are apathetic, amoral, mad or bloodthirsty. I love the quiet knowledge Ascalain seems to have, very fitting with the whole tidal theme. Of course I should think he's monstrous when angered. Quite a touching little glimpse into his life. Particularly like the fact he never mentions her name.
*is amusing self by approximately singing those vowels*

Ascalain was quite unexpected. I was going to write about Ilinme when I sat down that morning, but eh. ;) Now I'm looking forward to fitting him in a story ... somewhere ... whatever evolves from this history mess. He gets to be in a huge cell because he grows so big at high tide XD
As for Cochalyon, I finished some more notes about him today and have reached a conclusion: he's a total mess. ^_^ Not too sure where I'd fit him in a story, but I'll be giving that a go later.
*makes no attempt to sing*
*Isaille and co. sigh in relief*

And it looks like you had time to squander indeed! Very interesting lot there. I suppose trying to do Moon Fae in their phases would be a bit of stretch...
Just loved the snippet. Very beautiful, resigned, and sad. Were they all killed, me wonders, or did some choose to not keep living as 'exhibits' like that...?
Thanks for sharing, these little bits are delicious!
*sniffs* Spring, yup. Time's running out for me... *lip quivers* ;P

And I had far too much time on my hands, yes. Still do. Hence my spam warning ;)

The most recent two who died - I've been writing bits of the thing today - certainly chose their own way out ... and I doubt they'd have been alone out of all those fae. :( (The more I write, the more I realise I just couldn't tack it on to Samara's world ;P)
August cometh! *weeps* Let's just skip the bloody month this year!

Anyway, very curious snippet. Though I hate what you lot are doing to my fierce dislike for monologues. ^-~ And as I haven't read the other one yet (finish Blackberries first, move onto The Iron Hold then), I'm sure that I understand less than the others, but the snippet still works fine. ^-^ Wonderful look into the world, it is!
Language sounds gorgeous. ^-^ And that's all you'll be getting today, I'm afraid. ^-^;;

I suppose this is a monologue! I hadn't even thought of it like that. It's supposed to be the introduction he wrote to all his chronicles, but that's exactly the same thing on its own, really. Heh. *is amused* ;)
Thanks for peeking, me precious!

You do realise that you should record the language at some point, don't you? Just a teensy bit so we know what it more or less sounds like by hearing it.
Was my pleasure to peek! It's a gorgeous world. ^-^

The problem with me recording the language is my complete and utter lack of singing ability. Ask anyone who was ever subjected to my karaoke. *mad cackle*
Whenever I decide on the notes and intervals I want, though, I'll write them down so any curious parties can DIY. ;) Hoo hoo hah haaah, more spammage!

Very real creature...I do wonder of his livng conditions...How is this recorded?

His living conditions are sparkling one-star accommodation in an iron-walled prison. Fae Tourism's Calamaryael says, "A night to forget! Try the Talton Hilton instead."
I haven't decided whether they trust Ascalain enough to give him his own pen and paper ... you never know. These fae can make some nasty curses out of simple things, even paper and ink. If not, this would all be dictated to his favourite researcher/researchers of the day.
Thanks for having a read! ^-^
