Haven't seen it yet but I will be seeing it next week sometime. It's difficult to go to the show when you work a graveyard shift. I'll comment properly on your review when I get a chance to see the show.

Good review. I was really resisitng this movie but was mainly drawn to it to see how they handled the Silver Surfer. They did a pretty good job with that. He might have seemed distant, but he's an alien and I don't think he'd be that much more emotionally forthcoming in a way we might project onto the character.

I'm still not convinced of the 'chemistry' between Gruffudd and Alba as Reed Richards and Sue Storm. However, I agree with you on the sequel being better paced and having a bit more character development.
