I guess I'm a little more disappointed with TWINE just because it had such potential in the first half that just petered out, as you've pointed out. The convoluted plot and emphasis on the action distracted from the compelling M/Elektra, Renard/Elektra and Bond/Elektra relationships were the heart of the drama for me. I did find Elektra much more compelling than the usual Bond girl/villainess as she did such a beautiful job channeling Tracy, and I liked Renard as a more sympathetic villain. But I agree with you that by the end the characters became so overblown that I lost my sympathy. The rest of the supporting cast, as you've mentioned, was one of overall the strongest in recent years and helped make up for that disappointment ( ... )
