I don't know that Malaysia or Central Africa were really part of the Brit empire although British people were there in one capacity or the other, but these are some good choices. I especially like the 39 FOUR FEATHERS (I haven't seen the remake) and CONDUCT UNBECOMING. There are several good Brit Island stories and of coruse Irish, Australian and New Zealand based films to consider. AGE OF CONSENT is particularly good with a very young Helen Mirren.

A group of separate states on the Malaysian pennisula were under British rule from the late 18th century until the mid 20th century.

Very cool list, I think I'm going to add it to mems for future reference when I need some movies to watch! Some of these I've never heard of ("Carry On" series?), others are indeed fantastic. I really do need to see "Mountains of the Moon." For a second I was all, WHAT? NO BEAU GESTE? But then I remembered they joined the French Foreign Legion. Whoops.
