I think people get too wrapped up in their opinions of Scientology and forget that Tom Cruise is actually a really good actor. I can't wait to see this.

I've been dying to see this movie for months. Too bad I live two hours from a decent movie theatre :(

I can't believe I haven't seen it yet. I'm glad to read your positive review. I'm definitely looking forward to it, even after seeing just a few snippets during the History Channel special.

(and the critics love slamming Cruise. it's become 'cool' to be a Cruise-hater. whatever. it doesn't make him any less impressive.)

I coudn´t think of a better review. As this story is part of our family history I was missing some things. A little more of "Why?" and not only "How?" did Claus an his friends try to kill Hitler. You don´t only write something critical in your diary and the next thing you do is to kill the chief of state ( who was a monster ). It wasn´t shown, that Claus originally was meant to stay in Berlin to stage the plot. He therefore organized 3 assasination attempts to be executed by others ( von dem Bussche Nov. 1943, von Kleist Febr. 1944 and the last beginning of July 1944 in Klessheim near Salzburg. Only as all these attempts failed he made up his mind only 2 weeks before 20.07.1944 to kill Hitler himself. With that he took the immense risk to have to be in the morning in what is today eastern Poland to place the bomb and in the afternoon in Berlin to lead the plot. Ok, maybe this is more for history channel.
