i know alot of people hated Speed Racer but hey you like what you like

I know that a lot of critics hated SPEED RACER. But I'm also aware that a lot of people were surprised at how much they enjoyed the movie.

*raises hand* I hated the show as a kid, but decided to watch the movie on an international flight on Friday- and was completely blown away by how much I loved it. I don't know why critics seem to hate it. I've heard people say that to follow it, you had to know the anime, but I followed the movie fine without any previous knowledge. And I didn't find any problems with the characters.

I'm just hoping that they do the sequel(s).

Oh, and I agree with you on the rest of the movies (save the ones I haven't seen). This summer definitely had a lot of great movies.
