I found this fic looking for "Golden Vanity" and...Oh my... I rented "Boondock Saints" a couple of months ago and thought it had major slash opportunities, but I'm already reading in several different fandoms, so I didn't look real hard. When I saw this I thought I'd just glance at it, then continue on with "Vanity". I ended up reading the whole thing and now I'm hooked!! I love this. I can hear their accents as I read, and their characters are true to what I saw in the movie. I'm looking foreword to the next chapter.
BDS is one of the richest fandoms from a small universe that I've ever seen. Check out the bds_fic livejournal community if you want to see some great work.
Glad you're liking this series. I know I've been neglecting GV for it.
Ch 13 is with my semi-beta-reader, so it should be up around mid-week. Ch 14 is about 1/3 done right now.
"You are kidding, right?" The waiter turned and tipped his head, regarding Murphy's features openly then. "Dude, you are nothing short of gorgeous."
I'll second that!
They loitered for hours in the diner, chatting with Marc when he wasn’t busy--chatting with each other when he was. Murph was smiling and eating, which was enough for Connor. It was the longest he could remember his brother going without a cigarette since they were fifteen.
Conner is a damn patient brother to sit there while Murphy hits on the waiter guy. I would have been like, "You get laid, I am going home."
Murphy was the first one to crack up laughing. "Brothers." He said, drawing the word out in an educational manner, pointing back and forth between himself and Connor. "Not boyfriends. Brothers."
Connor held one hand up like a boy scout, the other over his heart. "Swear to Christ. We wouldn’t fuck around with something like that." HAHAHA!! Did I said that I had another favourite part? Because if I did

Sorry. Denis moment.
I can HEAR Conner, "Swear to Christ. We wouldn't fuck around with something like that."
Methinks the boy protests too much?
Yeah, Connor stuck around because he had something to say to Marc that he couldnt say in front of murphy.
I love how he still calls him that, even though it was a fuckup. HAHA! Brilliant!
Heh. Connor has renamed the man. If you ever see him call him Marc in dialog, poke me because it's a typo.
