Of course the EMP went off on a ghost job? How much more confusing a situation could they be in? Electromagnetics are already going screwy.

It was nice to see Sam doing the daddy thing for Ben again. All the difficulties of parenting plus some. But Ben seems to be adjusting well.

A nice, enjoyable little read.

EMP went off on a ghost job?
Heh. Had to have been just a little surreal.

Yeah, family is pretty high up on Ben's hierarchy of needs. There's very little he wouldn't do at this point to not upset Sam.

Glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for the review.

And I just realized that somehow LJ deleted a paragraph from my cut-and-paste into the post right where the EMP thing was. Stupid LJ. It's fixed now.

He fishes the EMF meter out of his pocket and the thing is melted to slag inside, warm to the touch and stinking of fried electrical components. Not good,

You may want to clean up that "Not good," leftover there. *g*

Most awesome!!!

There was actually a small (but important) paragraph that somehow got cut, even though I just cut-and-pasted a correct version into LJ. Stupid code-thing.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Heh. I was telling my husband, "I don't like dogs, I don't like kids, why the hell amd I writing about dogs and a kid?"

Glad you're enjoying it.

I just realized there was a paragraph missing right after the salt-and-burn that makes things make a lot more sense with the EMP and all. Stupid LJ code-thing.

Nice. I read the preceding story, and I love it. I love this one too, it's the one crossover I hadn't seen coming, but it works very well. Great job!

Glad you're enjoying it.

I think I got the plot-bunny for this when I was watching DA for the first time (like a few weeks before Tom Sawyer was written) and I went "Huh. 2009. That's not so far from here."

I loved Tom Sawyer and am so glad you did a follow-up! I love the idea of Sam trying to raise Ben. Both of them are so screwed up it's almost a perfect match. Does he know at this point just how truly strong/quick/highjumping/powerful Ben is or will grow to be? More please!

I think Sam's continually surprised by the upper end of Ben's limits, but really, they haven't even been pushed yet. Wait til he hits something truly dangerous like a raging werewolf.

Glad you're enjoying it. Once I got the bunny, the set-up seemed to make a perfect fit.
