Can you believe that when I started this fic I thought it would be over in 5,000 words? There were so many points in the story where I despaired of them ever getting out of the friend-zone. But I'm really happy with how it came out and glad that the slow pace works for other people too. Thanks!

“You didn’t tell me he didn’t want you to know!” he protests. “Did that not seem important?” Aaaaaaahahahahahah! That last sentence, right there. I can imagine the little guy staring at Cougar with ... just, this look. Like, "Would it have killed you to tell me that the man I idolize and worship and want to grow up to be one day would frown at me in disapproval over your request?!"
