I love how you're writing this story. I love how Jared sticks to doing what is best for Jensen no matter what. It would be I am sure easy to just give in and let his Mother do whatever she wants, and yet Jared stays firm and makes her let Jensen have the choice.

I don't think Jensen is gonna like this idea of leaving town much, but we'll see.

So easy to take care of the people you love by taking away their right to make mistakes. It's a lot more work to give advice but accept their choices. I have a hard time with that in my life.

Jensen's anxiety and distrust radiates off him in those first paragraphs, the fear of losing not just Jared but everything that he has made of his life so far, everything that he understands.
Jensen's mother and his sister are trying to understand but I can feel their pain as well, the pain of losing a loved one and finding them broken and his sister's inability to truly reconcile Davis and Jensen and to see him as 'diminished'. She is making a tremendous effort to try and understand but her pain shows through.

Jared's vulnerability and his strength - no matter what he's putting Jensen first.

A wonderful update. I shall look forward to the next.

I feel like his sense of self is what's at risk, as well as his Jared. And between those two that's all he has.

Glad the ladies look like they're real and they're trying. So hard to walk that line between "too understanding" and "OMG what a bitch." Thanks.
