It's nice being back in Hawaii. All my senses are working overtime trying to take in the essence of the island - from the blue of the ocean to the faint scent of flowers in the air and the sound of the island breeze. I spent a good hour tonight discussing homosexual marriages and premarital sex with my very Catholic friend. It was a very civil conversation, thank God, but it was wierd, because I'm not out to her, so she was arguing with me without even knowing my full motives behind why I think the way I do.
