That's a good question. I'd have to say that I discovered about three years back that I treat writing fics as a job even though I don't get paid! That is to say, I work up an outline and push on till the story is completed. The outline is basically where I want the story to go and the character arcs involving each character's growth throughout the story; the outline gets added onto or filled out more, but not actually changed greatly. Sometimes I think I'm not cut out for 'hobbies' because I treat writing so seriously. Meh. I'm a professional copywriter and maybe it bleeds over into fun timez? I dunno

went too far Yes, writing is cathartic and filled with self-discovery, some of which is jarring. At least, I've found it to be so. *gets thoughtful*
