More Stover thoughts.

Listening to the ROTS Audiobook again (yeah, I know. XD). My thoughts:

-Stover's really good at writing action scenes. From the space battle above Coruscant to the fight with Dooku, he does it brilliantly.

-Anakin's a woobie, per usual. Seriously, his reaction to finding Palpatine on the Invisible Hand made me want to hug him. Doubly heartbreaking ( Read more... )

"Didn't Palpatine even realize how much Anakin -- in a way -- loved him, or did he just not care?"

Oh, he definitely realized that: he just didn't care that much when he had his ruling-the-galaxy mission to think of, is all. That's Sidious for you.

Also, ever since I read Shatterpoint and the ROTS novelization, I've wanted to write action scenes as well as Stover does. Obviously without ripping him off to do so.

(I did, however, blatantly use one of his techniques once, albeit for a non-action scene: I adopted the style of writing he used to describe Anakin landing the remnants of the Invisible Hand once, as a writing experiment of sorts.)

XD Very true!

(Sadly enough. :( )

As do I. Along with basically...everything. *Is quietly envious*

Can I read it, by any chance? :)

He's very good, isn't he?

If I can dig it up, I'll certainly send it your way (hopefully it makes sense as an individual piece: I don't quite recall how context-dependent it is).
