In addition...a while back, I got into an argument with someone who believed that one had to be completely evil in order to make redemption all the more powerful

Whut? How's that supposed to work? How can anyone be "completely evil," in the first place? That's as impossible as being completely good - if you have any kind of feelings, every so often one of them will be a decent feeling just by accident, and if you don't have feelings, you'll do the decent thing on occasion just out of practicality.

-"Ladies, your viewing figures just went up." *Giggles*

Hee, I loved that line too, and the cocky grin that went with it. Jack knows what he's got and he doesn't mind flaunting it. 8)

+ Also shipping Jack/Lynda at the moment. Seriously.

That's a definite benefit of Jack. There is no one you can't ship him with and have it be canon. ;)

I definitely agree. I think there is such a thing as evil in the world, but not complete evil. Everyone has a bit of good and bad inside them, and it's really what we choose to act on that defines us, IMHO.

As for what said person was getting at...well, I think he was *attempting* to say that the more evil the character, the more powerful the arc, but... *Sighs* Let's say he worded it very poorly. That and there's always a few shades of gray, really; we can't really overlook that.

(Er, I hope I'm making sense here)

On a lighter note, I know, right? :D It's one of my favorite scenes with Jack, and I have a ton of 'em. Jack is just so cool. :3

And so very true. Seriously. :3
