I like having Don's experience on the other side of the door to Alan's. I do like it catching up to him though and being affected by the childhood blanket from their mother.

He looked at the large standing wardrobe against the far wall and decided not to open it as he was willing to bet that he would not find a magical land but probably things even more disturbing.

/snort/

Don's definitely a TMI! kind of guy. ;-)

Charlie and Ian's toy chest, really really TMI.

Well his brother almost died and his family is going to be fighting for a while so Don's not having a good day.

"Chuck was a generous sugar daddy."

Charlie may be paying for the place, but I expect Ian makes a pretty good salary -- he'd just have to be convinced to spend it on himself. If Charlie's buying silk shirts it's because Ian won't, not because he can't.

Don still doesn't quite get them, or the balance of the relationship.

That said, he's oddly proud of Charlie's backhanding him (once he got over the aching jaw.)

Pretty much. Ian doesn't think he should have things that aren't utilitarian. Charlie's trying to convince him otherwise. And Don is cluing into things slowly but surely.
