I work at Yonge and Queen's Quay and have watched the fence around the Westin Harbourcastle go up 2 weeks ago, have talked with the police that have been building since them. many of those who cover their faces are also peaceful. They firmly believe that the State is not entitled to record the identity of those who disagree with it and thus cover their faces so that they are not id'ed.

As this makes them a target of the police, it makes them far from cowards - rather they are very brave.

If you can find what Starhawk says happened at the G20 in Ottawa with them, it says very interesting things about them and their treatment (I've only heard it in person).

I am very sad/upset that it is has been very scary for you (and TO in general).
