Honestly? Your zombie MPreg is the first story in that genre that I've ever actively followed, and I'm not talkin' about the zombies. Mpreg in general really, really has had the tendency to hit my squick button-- but I've come to really love your story, and the characters in it. I can't put my finger on why it's bothered me in the past (aside from the mechanics of birth and conception), but through your verse, I've been able to set aside my really disappointingly heteronormative feelings on the subject and just enjoy the journey

I will never make Kurt grow boobies. Or Blaine. No matter how much I like to torture them.
Unless it's a sex swap fic, which… I've yet to do for this fandom. But if/when I do it, there would be lactation but no growth. I think in this instance… I'm not sure how it'll go down because Kurt'll have to get enough nutrition, period. Having a stash of shelf stable survival rations, though, would be easier on them than trying to get formula. I could work it, but they would need like a year's supply…
I don't know. Normally I don't even go into it. *laze*
On the bright side, I think most people rushed for the ammo stores rather than Babies R' Us. They could have free reign on all trendy baby shit AND the name brand formula.
But then again, the zombies that are probably there are way more horrible than the average zombie.
I'm not trying to write this story for you, but I do have a reasonable out for the situation. What if male lactation is possible, but, due to his malnutrition and exposure to the vaccine, Kurt can't do it? Can't women take a a drug to "dry up" the milk after the birth? Perhaps a side effect of the vaccine is that it does the same thing...I think that would satisfy all parts of the fandom.

Hmm… lots to think about before the peanut if born. I'll consider this idea, too. I kind of meant this as a general poll, but everyone knows what I'm writing and that I can only draw out the hospital stay for so long before a baby appears. :P
Personally I'm generally pro-breastfeeding, it's good for nutrition and bonding and is generally a good course to take, and if I ever go through with a pregnancy to have a child, I'll probably breastfeed my child. For some reason, however, I never want to know if I was ever breastfed (considering my mother smoked- 'cut down' from a ten-a-day habit- I doubt I was), and usually avert my eyes when my mother's friend breastfeeds her baby. Kind of off topic, but you often find that situations vary on what people are comfortable with

Just answering so you know I read this. You raise a lot of good points. I am thinking about it all and I'll deal with it when I can get back to writing. I clearly can't please everyone, obviously, and there are story considerations that come before gross out factors.
With Peanut being a premie, the big issue would be her not being able to latch on, as sometimes getting babies that are too premature to suckle properly is an issue. As is, I've been told, low blood sugar, and in that case, they might bottle feed her glucose/water and the bottle makes them want to latch on even less.
This is more complicated than I originally thought. I don't really want to devote entire chapters to breastfeeding, so I'll have to be deft, or scurry out of it like I usually do.
My initial reaction was 'eww, no!!', but then I thought about it, and I think it all depends on how you decide to write it. I have read a couple of mpregs in a different fandom, and it just never came up, they always had the artificial stuff.
Whatever you decide, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be awesome :) (haha I'm such a fangirl :PPP)
Whatever happens, it won't like, be the focus of the plot. I hope. Lol. I only started to consider it when someone pointed out how hard it might be in that world for them to be sterilizing bottles all the time. In my head, that might actually work, under certain conditions… but anyway. Stuff to think about.

I'm always glad to convert people to mpreg.
