Oh hazzah! What a wonderful treat before bedtime. :)

Whomped Lex is particularly wonderful, with him in a hospital bed, not allowed to work and only able to read fanfiction. ^___^ And wondering why he's whomped so often in fics!! Love this. And his reactions - he's such a fan like the rest of us. Start with the gen, start with the gen... well, what are the others like? And then you're in!

And the other side is just as fabulous with Clark reading them too! And Chloe there to explain it to both of them. ;D

They saw a good man with nothing but bad choices in front of him. A man who played a bad hand very well, no matter the circumstances or the sacrifice required from himself.

That *is* Lex to a T. I'm a LexMinion, so of course that's how I see it, but I think that so perfectly describes him and his struggles.

I love Chloe as the keeper of the fanfic, and as a LexMinion who sees things from a clear-headed perspective. I love that fanfic and message boards have made Lex think, and he's contemplating his actions and how far he'll go, at the same time as he's learning he's not the only one who has his POV. He's not alone. Having anonymous people on the internet do so like this is really one of the only ways I can really see Lex, who never trusts, actually believing it.

Have I mentioned lately that I love this story? Because I do.

And LOL at the hooker or slave fic line. Oh, Lex, I love you. Just as hooked on weird kinks as everyone else.

And I think you're right about this being one of the only ways that Lex is going to trust someone. Oddly, I doubt he would trust Chloe's assessment of him in real life, or even listen to it, but he's considering it when she's a stranger. Odd boy.
