Are Tara and Lafayette still alive and in (fairly) good condition by the end of S2 of True Blood? If so, I may try to watch the series before the next season. I don't want to put forth the effort if the only characters I attached to in the first part of S1 get snuffed or ruined.

True. But Tara got pretty fucked with by life before the series started. But if they're alive and roughly in character, I can probably handle it.

That's a good description of how Lafayette changed in Season 2. It really changed him so that he is much more contained and not as vibrant. Though I think he was working his way out it. Totally understandable though why he does change in this way. I found it very interesting.

Both still alive, although, as of the finale, Lafayette's probably in better shape than Tara and that boy is fucked *up.* So that tells ya somethin' 'bout the state Tara's most likely in. (We don't see much of the aftermath with her -- cliff-hanger and all.)

If you do watch it, let me (us) know what you think about Godric. He was my favorite character this season.

I hadn't met Godric by the time I wandered away from surfthechannel and True Blood. I'll make posts on my True Bloodish discovery. I mean, if I'm giving VD a chance, True Blood deserves a chance. (Though I like Elena MUCH better than Sookie!)

You should definitely give True Blood a chance. I marathoned the first season dvd and got completely sucked in.

While I do like Elena more than Sookie, I find True Blood way more interesting and compelling than VD so far.

You're safe. They don't get snuffed. But they do have a rough time this season and are somewhat different in S2 than 1.

Lafayette is my fave as well.
