Oh, thank you for posting this! I love this story so much, and this chapter was especially hopeful. I literally breathed out a sigh of relief when they got that late night phone call, and Lex's determination to fight for Lucas made me feel so happy and proud. You do such a wonderful job of creating three-dimensional people here, not just sterotypes or simple characters.

I love Lex's determination -- and Clark's unwavering support -- so very much; they've already come so far from where they were at the start of this story. *pets the boys* The Griggs are going to be trouble, I'm sure, but I have great confidence that Lex and Clark will find a way to bring Lucas home with them, where he belongs. So neat that Mercy and Daize have gotten together, too. *happy sigh for all the romance* I just hope Martha and Lionel will be locked away for a long, long time.... Fabulous update!
