wonderful story. i love that lex doesn't learn his stalker's--i mean bruce's name until after he rescues him. the different perspectives were very insightful. thanks for sharing

Terrific story! I love Lex being smart and brave, and Bruce being fiercely protective of 'his Alexander.'

Bruce tucked the soldier back into his front pocket. "I'll keep him. If you won't miss him."

"It's okay. I'll know he's right there." Lex gave Bruce a curious look, scanning his strong features for a few seconds before licking his lips. "He can guard your heart."

Bruce put his arm around Lex. "Just to make sure you're okay. I don't want you to fall."

"I might fall anyway."

"Then I'll fall with you."

I tried hard to not make Lex too damselish. He wouldn't have appreciated it. Even as a ten year old, Lex has his pride. I'm so glad you liked it. Yes, Bruce adores his Alexander!
