I like how CLark realised that LEx sharing something important wit him, even if it wasn't really the words he spoke. If only Clark could remember this lesson day to day, things would be so much nicer.

This makes me want to cuddle Lex, and kick Clark from Smallville to Metropolis and back. (Which is exactly how the show itself makes me feel these days.) Beautifully sad and not a little frustrating -- and at least your Clark is sufficiently self-aware to realize he's far from the epitome of virtue and Lex isn't the personification of evil. Any chance of a sequel, with Clark actually voicing some of what he's thinking...?
