I wonder something along the same lines. With rejection so common is it really worth putting yourself out there if its just going to hurt.. again? To be honest I am not sure.

What you need is the male equivalent of Teddy Ruckspin (sp?). A large soft man-shaped object which hugs you and says one of 10 things you like to hear. No fuss.
