and i don't think this is a question of greatness. i think this is a question of having no brain. and that's why it can't be rushed.

I think you did a damn fine job of those fics. :) And I agree sometimes it's nice to do something that doesn't carry as much weight (or as much personal weight) and just write something for someone. I know I enjoy doing that.

i really tried with those fics because they weren't for me. does that make sense? and you know how i am anyway so... doubly dangerous.

but i do enjoy just every once in a while coming up with something that i've really got no personal investment in other than to see it well written and all.

i know you're big on them but i've never really tried any other than the five acts meme a few months ago. since i have a very hard time keeping anything under... say... 4000 words... its not a very viable place for me to practice my writing.
