Happy Easter

Apr 08, 2012 21:55

Jesus Christ is risen today! Alleluia! Happy Easter (even belated) to those who celebrate. I hope you had a safe holiday, full of blessings.

Happy (Belated) Pesach or Passover to all manner of Jewish friends on ye Olde Flist. That whole getting-out-of-Egypt thing is still pretty sweet.

OK, so first, I had to laugh my butt off at "the whole getting-out-of-Egypt thing is still pretty sweet". Brilliant. :-)

Second, I suppose even on eHarmony, stupid people think too much of themselves. I've seen the most horrible men in the whole world just treat the sweetest girls who will ever ever talk to them like shit, and then I've seen the most beautiful girls walk rough-shod over nice men. I've never ever weighed what I should, and there was a time there when the hottest guy any of us had ever seen kept trying to follow me home. People are shallow until they grow up inside. What am I saying? DON'T SETTLE!

My sister re-met her husband two years ago. He remembered her from high school - she didn't remember him, because he was younger. He claims he always thought she was beautiful. I have no idea, but they're married now, and they're happy, and she's in her thirties.

As for Emily May... YAY!!!! *applauds* I'm behind on the story, I know I am, but I'm still pulling for it.

*huggles*

Dating sites are a weird beast. I got cajoled into trying them, after complaining too much that I was never meeting any guys. My friends urged me to do OkCupid, which supposedly is populated with more geeks and nerds? I definitely targeted those type of guys. I can't complain, because it was really successful for me in a fairly short period of time. But they are just... weird, in how they operate. The assumptions that are made. Just... weird. I'm sorry you were turned off by them.
