And something tells me that perhaps Rose knows more about her state of health than the Doctor thinks. This gives it away:
“Take care of the Doctor for me, yeah?”
“Always, Rose.”
“Good,” she said decisively. “That's the way it should be.”
And good for Jack: despite his own state of mind, he's keeping the Doctor's resolve up and being positive and supportive for both of them. :)
Now we just need to get them all back on the TARDIS ASAP so that the Doctor can figure out what needs to be done.

I'm anticipating that they'll stay at the dojo for a while, until Rose gets better, or something else happens. I'll enjoy seeing that. I don't know the world into which you've introduced our friends, but I look forward to learning more about it. And I enjoyed Kenshin's observations on the three of them: for some reason, I always enjoy reading third-party observations of the characters.
Looking forward to more!

I do have a Japanese nitpick for you regarding bathing customs. Kaoru and Rose enter the tub of hot water, but in Japanese custom, one rinses the body off beforehand. Also, you have Kaoru soaping herself in the bath; that is never done. Usually one (1) rinses before entering, (2) soaks in the hot water of the tub, (3) exits the tub, soaps up to clean, and rinses again, and (4) enters the tub again to soak some more. Yes, it's very ritualistic. :) Not surprising, eh?
I can't wait to see where this is going; I fear you're going to make me cry some more, aren't you? :P
