Summary: It's Harry Potter's birthday, but he's not the one who really gets a gift. The way it all began for Neville and Hannah. Happy Birthday, Jules!!!

Lovely story. I always wondered how Neville and Hannah got together, as they didn't have much interaction at school. It probably was something very similar to this.

“No. I'm Neville bleeding Longbottom, and you can wait your turn.”

LOL! Good for you, Neville! Learned to stand up for himself at Hogwarts, and that'll stand him in good stead all his life. :)

I looooove this!!!!! I think you've really captured Neville and the beginning of the Neville/Hannah relationships seems really realistic.

Like so many others, I especially love this line: “No. I'm Neville bleeding Longbottom, and you can wait your turn.”

Sorry for the random review, but I couldn't pass this by without leaving a word to say how much I enjoyed it. I thought it a very accurate portrayal of Neville post-war, and I liked the hints of humour throughout - Ron and Hermione interacting, the bunch of them slightly tipsy, 'Neville-bleeding-Longbottom' (most awesome line ever!).

The Neville/ Hannah interaction was so cute! I especially loved the ending. Neville's squeezing her hand was just perfect. :)

Wonderfully sweet-very much the characters we know. I loved that Neville could be the shy boy we saw from the books, but could also turn to the git at the bar and say, "No. I'm Neville bloody Longbottom." Hee!
