I hate my computer

My computer has totally messed up. I can't get on-line because my network card is messed up. I bought a new one yesterday and it doesn't fit into the pci slot..or whatever. But anyway I bought a wired one...I guess I need wireless. Does anyone know anything about network cards

ive done a bit of networking in my day, heres about all i cant tell you without seeing it for myself. you wont need a wireless network card unless you have a wireless router, and i dont think you have a wireless network in your house. as long as you have a internet cable that goes into the back of your pc, a wireless isnt required. Are you sure you werent trying to put it in the wrong slot, most mother boards have 2 kinds of slots on them down where the pcis are, pci and agp, you may have bought an agp network card, i used to have one like that.
