I thought a lot about how I wanted to go through this next part. Up until now, the game has had a fairly straightforward progression: go to a level, do all the tasks on that level, get access to the next level. But this section involves a lot of revisiting places we’ve been already (though there will be new stuff as well) and not necessarily in ( Read more... )

The screencaps for this are gorgeous, and I'm really enjoying your commentary.

Ah ha ha! Your commentary is golden, and WoW reference FTW *highfive*

This game reminds me of an old Nancy Drew game that took place in a theater, I never finished it but it was probobly over flowing with Phantom refrences.

I think the one you're thinking of is The Final Scene. I've played all the ND games multiple times and that one, surprisingly, has ZERO Phantom references.

You know, I never realized any of that stuff about the masks and flutes. I, too, just nudged them around until they lined up with the notes in the picture. I don't know if I should feel smart for having unlocked it without the additional clues, or dumb for not even noticing that there WERE additional clues!

Hey, I read all of these after I played the game today and I didn't see anything about the doll in the prop room since this one. If you go back and look again, when you don't do a HOG, the puppet doll to the far right blinks, as does the one behind it. It freaked me out so much because when I saw it I was like, "Did that just happen or am I just still freaked from the bathroom eyes on the sink?" When I just looked at it, tho, for a while those two blinked at different times. VERY creepy! : )

Oh thank God--I thought I saw that too but didn't know if it was my mind playing tricks on me or not, so I didn't mention it. Yes, it is creepy as all get-out! (And another example of the sheer awesomeness of this game's atmosphere.)
