Jen isn't really sure at all about this blind date. Owen didn't know why he'd agreed to it, really. He didn't do dates, technically speaking, and he wasn't about to show up at the Hub with flowers and chocolates, dressed in a suit or something. The whole thing was stupid ( ... )

When the guy - the cute guy; Jen's not really much into physical appearance but it's kind of hard not to notice when it's right there - sits down at her table Jen starts to wish Cupid had told her there would be something her date was going to wear to identify him. This guy might be her date, or he might be just some guy striking up a conversation, and she has no way to tell unless he says something.

"Yeah, my blind date," she replies, her eyes narrowing just a tiny bit as she tries to figure out whether this is the guy or not. "What about you? Were you waiting for someone?"

"Blind date?" Owen asked, deciding it was more interesting to not answer her question. His own eyes narrowed a bit, nearly matching hers. "People still do that?"

He sounded almost amused at the idea.
