Having just watched Golden Steps, there are many things I feel warrant comment. Kiriyan's lovely English and general adorableness, Asako and Mihoko's newlywed grinning at each other, Tonami and Mihoko's red sequined harem girl costumes, Ume's exceedingly interesting (and flexible!) turn as Mizu's otherworldy temptress, things of that nature. As Barb just said, even though though Japanese theater makes her head and ears hurt, you made her want to watch this piece to see what you are talking about!

Ah if only there was a career in writing, but there are twenty times more wannabe theatre critics than there are people to hire them. I'll have to see if I can parlay that into something else, though.
