If you won't let him, Nick can cut /my/ hair!

You know, it drives me nuts when people go on What Not To Wear and then bitch and moan about having to buy new clothes and refuse to let them do anything interesting with their makeup and hair. This woman who volunteered herself is on right now and she has appallingly long hair that is dead and fried and she flatly refused to even let Nick trim it ( Read more... )

I would let Nick do whatever he wanted to my hair, because he always comes up with something stunning, plus he's this adorable hairstyling leprechaun.

They even showed this woman a series of footage of previous people who had been on the show with really long hair and had to get talked into cutting it and how happy they were with the result, and she still wouldn't budge. It was really just kind of criminal because it killed her look. But then, her clothing wasn't anywhere near as good as it could have been at the end either. Just a rather disappointing makeover in general and there was no one to blame but her.

It's a bit unfair of me to be judgmental, since my hair grows extremely quickly, but still. Why volunteer for a make-over and then be incredibly, stupidly stubborn? Nick is genius; do what he says!

But you know, if there's one thing we've seen proven time and again over the years, it's that people can be stupid and illogical.

Eh, fried long hair looks horrible (all hair is dead ;-)). This is why I'm picky about my shampoo.

And the only reason mine isn't trimmed atm is because it costs too bloody much to get it done somewhere, and my mother is likely to chop it all off. :-P

I'll cave very very soon. I don't like it much longer than it is now.

And you know, I totally understand people wanting to have their hair super long for one reason or another, but why would you volunteer yourself for a makeover and then not let them do /anything/ to your hair? I mean they could have trimmed like two inches off that no one else would have noticed were gone and put in some layers and she would have looked a million times better but her hair still would have been practically as long as it was.

Seems pretty nutty, yeah. I want two inches off now, actually. :-P

I kept wondering why that woman volunteered herself. I was yelling at the TV, "WHY? WHY VOLUNTEER FOR A MAKE-OVER AND THEN REFUSE TO BE MADE OVER!?"

And I agree...Nick can cut my hair if she doesn't want hers cut.

I know! You know there's a line a mile along of people who want to go on that show and when they pick people like that who are just boring and uncooperative and get stupid results because they don't have the balls to do anything interesting it just irks me.

I love that show so much! ♥

I know which episode you're talking about, too. It really pissed me off that she wouldn't do anything to her hair...I think I was even yelling at the screen. D:

I was definitely yelling at the screen, lol. Probably not good for my blood pressure right before I left for work.
