sadness

It is a sad day.

I have no more Star Trek to watch. The war is over. Miles has moved back to Earth, Sisko is with the Prohpets, Worf is an Ambassador, Dukat and Kai Wynn are dead, Martok is Chancellor, Julian is even hotter than he was at the beginning, and Odo has rejoined the Great Link.

And they haven't made a DS9 movie because...

For me, the post-DS9 depression came when I realized that the only Star Trek I had left to watch were a few random Enterprise episodes. Not counting those (rarely do I ever count Enterprise), I can relate to your sadness. Our only hope is that J.J. Abrams does a decent job with the next movie.

However, I still say a Q movie should be next. Given Q's abilities, the movie wouldn't be bound by timelines or continuity or anything like that. It could just be a free-for-all of all the great characters and everything. It could easily be hokey and cheesy, but if done right (maybe just make Q play a semi-lead role, not THE role) it would be classic. A man can dream, can't he???

***And what the Hell happened to taking the last few seasons slowly??? You're weak Ashley.... WEAK!

I actually did pretty good. We watched stuff in season six back in June, and it took me until August to finish it. Not THAT bad ( ... )

Tehy still have that first of the new movies out, don't they? I ma y watch it out of curiosity. "Into Darkness", I'll wait till it is out on NetFlix, or something. Without the original series to back it up, this bit with Khan.....loses its human interest factor and becomes "Mad Man Tries To Eat Universe", instead of the personal conflict that we all loved (plot-wise).

The birthday ninja sneaks in with a quiet birthday well wishing.

I have no idea if you've seen any of the Star Trek: New Voyages yet. jimhines pointed out a couple of the episodes on his blog a while back, and those actually had guest shots by Nichelle Nicholls and George Takei, plus a few others from the original cast. And yea, I'm not naming all the names. ;) Even wit the different actors in the primary roles, I think the episodes are rather interesting. It adds to the five year mission, too!
